Oh no Nick that is the original concept piece as it initially appeared in the Citadel Journal. I have the issue where it first appeared as a vehicle for the harlies.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Perhaps only use half the raider platform, cut in half side by side? That would give still a fairly plausible place to put guys, but would be much shorter and make it feel not so long and skinny.

There was one before that Mike. Maybe it wasn't officially called the venom at the time but the Vyper model had a fighting platform released with the model. This was used as a Harlequin Venom before that model or concept of that idea came out. Dark Eldar were not even out for three or four years before that model for them to create a concept art around it.

I remember the Viper fighting platform and I was always under the assumption it was a conversion that was done so guys could have their farseers mounted. The model I showed is a Venom (tm) for the Harlies army (3rd ed army) that was in the Journal. For some odd reason the Venom has now become a Dark Eldar vehicle, which is cool. The new picture is all snazzed up and better looking than this but the picture I showed is based on the original conversion that was Shown in the Journal.

I remember that Journal too (harlie wraithlords had a 5+ inv save ). That is why I was kinda pissed that Harlies dont get the Venom as a dedicated transport in the DE codex...

Hey, if anyone has any DE vehicle bitz or interesting DE bitz in general, leftover that they would like to sell off, stick them in a zip lock and come up with a fair price and I'll see you Thursday at the DL.
