BFG 40K Tourney in Killeen Jan 16

    Entry is Free

    January 16th

Doors open at 9. Event starts at 10.

There will be three rounds at 2 hours each. There will be a break at noon for 30 minutes, and a small break at 1430 for 15 minutes. The goal is to complete the tourney by 1700.

Armies will be built to 1800 points. You will build a base 1300-point list with two options in the form of 500-point lists. You may chose either 500 point list and add it to your 1300 point list before table sides are rolled for. Winner of the die roll to choose table sides announces his/her added 500 point list then the loser of the roll announces his/hers. Your army may consist of no more than two detachments. Your list must be legible and list points for the base unit and all options/upgrades for the unit. The list must include totals. You are required to bring all source material for your army. Failure to bring your own source material may disqualify you.

Prizes are for Best Overall, Best General, Best Sportsman and Best Appearance.

Unbound armies are allowed but require pre-approval from the TO. Please send your lists to [email protected].

Forge World units are allowed on a 0-1 basis per selection in the army (i.e. you may have one unit of Saber platforms and one unit of Thudd Guns but not two units of Saber platforms).

Forge World chapter tactics are allowed. No other Forge World lists are currently allowed.

If you submit your army by Wednesday January 13th, you will receive an additional raffle ticket for door prize.

Do composite detachments, such as the Gladius with Battle Company or Decurion count as a single detachment?

You can form a Battle Company with the three detachments it takes to form it. The same with the Decurion. Please PM with specifics...or go unbound...but come to have fun!

Right, but many places that limit detachments consider the composite detachments as a single detachment, permitting it and another detachment, such as an ally.

I have a friend who lives in Killeen, would be a great time to visit him and play in a tourney.
