    The never-ending debate

Actually, there is a problem with that listing - can't be on orias, imperials have no presence there. Was it supposed to be on ranov, for the blank space to the nw of the manufactorum?

It would have been a challenge issued by imperials, so that makes sense; or could be to the east of manu on ranov. Refer to Todd on that. Either way I don't see how it could be on orias unless it is a space adjacent to the port.

Also, Todd - when we do our game, which bastion are you going for - the unclaimed one or the one xenos controls currently?

Actually, going through the list o challenges, a few of them seem kind of jacked up. The game with Bal4 vs ccrazyman is also for a ranov hive city, but that makes no sense since the way it is shown imperials are the challenge issuer, but they already control the hive city and the other one was the one I was challenging chaos for. Can we sort this out please?

Not saying it takes away, just can't be for the space that was listed. The only spots Imperials can attack on orias are adjacent to the port.

Hey I find nowhere in the rules you have to declare potms separately

I was wrong, just shoot your same named weapons at the same time

Those guys at the team tourney bamboozled me

Ok, looking at the revised listing, it seems Todd changed the spaceport so that you can attack anywhere on the planet?!? Seriously? When & why was this determination made, and why was it not specifically communicated? It's a bad change - taking something from having too much control value already and giving it more control value? No way - if that is how it is going to be I really want no part of this thing.

Going with that change basically removes all other strategic movement in the hexes. WHy are we even bothering with adjacency then? just say that if you are on a planet or control a port then you are automatically adjacent to everything else? Then we don't even need a map. Why bother. Whatever, y'all have at it.

This was back on Jun 29th here:

One note on the campaign rules, and the special tiles. I made a slight adjustment. Having the spaceport + the shield generator on any planet makes the planet, as written, virtually immune to attack from off-planet forces which could make for an overly easy job to lock up a given planet for a faction I think. With a very slight variation, having a spaceport now allows you to attack not only any other spaceport but any hex adjacent to the spaceport. Thus you could attack the shield generator to free up access to the planet.

    So, for example:

If the Imperials own the space port + shield generator on Balin V, and the Xenos control the space port on Orias, and want to strike Balin V the Xenos would first have to use their spaceport to strike at the shield generator. Once that had been cleared of enemy presence, then they could follow up with an attack on the spaceport next, or just build off of their control of the SG.

The problem was, as written, if for example on Balin either the imperials or chaos quickly won full control, knocking the other off, it could become impossible as previously written for other forces to make planetfall and contest it.

The changes are already made in the rules packet. As it stands right now, I have the initial tile claims of 2 of the 3 factions. As soon as I get the last one in, I will ask Real Genius to update the map, and once that is done we can start issuing challenges.

Actually had already asked a few people over the weekend if they would take my spot, both said too busy. But jw can take it. Crons can ally with tau and tau can ally with eldar, so it almost works for fluff.

Will let my group know they need to figure out who wants to deal with all the management hassle
