Is the 40k Campaign doing more harm than good?

Quite a few people can't get 40k games in due to a metric ton of people committed to campaign games. Also a couple of other minor issues.

We may need to terminate it for the good of the community.

But, you can never have too much community building.

I don't really see how it affects people getting games. If anything we have more people playing on thursday since more people have games already set up.

If 1 person out of the campaign shows up looking for a game then they might be out of luck. If 2 show up they play each other. if 3 then 1 guy is out of luck and so on. That would be the same result even if we werent scheduling out games.

I think what he is saying is that the people not in the campaign are having trouble getting games.

I personally think the campaign is fine, but whatever.

I know that. but it can only affect 1 person at most a thursday. and it would affect them anyway campaign or not. Its the flaw of having a 2 player game and an odd number of participants.

It just seems worse to the odd one out now since there are so many more people playing on thursday then normal.

Then the people looking for games should play each other. It's not that hard. Here are the steps:

Spot person that is fidgeting around carrying a bag/box of minis.
Say hey person that I don't know are you looking for a game of 40k on 40k night?

2 steps. Just 2 steps to greatness.

the campaign is fine i would rather keep it going

can you please elaborate on your comments?

yes we've had 2 table flip rage quit but i would not blame that on the campaign, seems like it has been coming for a while if you talk to them

there are others participating in the campaign who have not been real visible prior so I actually think this is extending to others that were not part of the monthly tournament scene before

    i say keep it going

Just worried about the people not in the campaign who cannot get games currently. I've seen at least three people I can name off the top of my head who this effects currently.

So for the next 6+ weeks those people can play only each other?.....seems like good community building.
