Rumor mill says Tyranids will have allies, the rules have not been released for them yet. Whether this will make 'Nids any better is beyond my ken, plus you're still kinda outta luck right now.

Occam's Razor, it's not just a Magic card. -Hogleg-
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
Another small point:
If we're a 2000 pt double FOC tourney, I always have to make some compromises within my list to hit 2000 exactly. It's a pain. Usually, I could design the list I want and if it falls a couple points short of 2k, it's no biggie. Now if I land at 1997 points, I have to delete options/models and add other crap back until it's nursed to a perfect 2000. And then it's not the list I wanted anymore.
I don't have a point. Just ranting.
I also think that Desperate Allies--the ones that really don't like each other--should have a small chance of opening fire against each other, instead of just standing still doing nothing. Hilarity!
IMO: Nids allies are battle brothers unless they're out of synapse... then they fall under control of the opposing player.
The 2000 point line is the size of the game. It doesn't mean you have to bring exactly 2k. It means, you had a conversation with your opponent, or entered a tournament where 2000 points was the agreed upon game size. If this is the case then you build your list with the special rules for the 2k+ paradigm.
Meaning, you can have double FOC and only spend 1998 points. However, if the agreed upon game size was 1999, you couldn't.
Oh. Well that's nice.
I've always felt the need to make a 2000 point list 2000 exactly.
It doesn't feel right if it is 1997. It bugs me. That's just how I am.
