If your f**king list is the one you're taking to Adepticon...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list is the one you're taking to Adepticon, +/- models to meet the tournament point limit...it's not Hobby.
If you read your f**king Codex and there are things in the fluff that are SPECIFICALLY mentioned (such as Dreadnoughts only being awakened ONE AT A TIME for crucial battles) and your list f**king VIOLATES (and I mean that in every possible sense of the word) that fluff...it's not Hobby.
If you created your f**king list with the express purpose of spamming the most damaging, hard to kill models in your Codex...it's not Hobby.
If the phrase "face rape" can be applied to your f**king list...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list uses different wargear on models in a unit to utilize "wound allocation shenanigans"...it's not Hobby.
If you've even wished you could take two Mephistons in your f**king list...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list contains 2+ Special Characters...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list has 4 f**king HQ units...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list contains more Elite units than Troop units...it's not Hobby.
If the phrase, "HARDEST LIST EVER!" crossed your mind while building your f**king list...it's not Hobby.
If you got an erection thinking about 3 30-minute games resulting in "max points for you" while building your f**king list...it's not Hobby.
If you get angry, upset, mad or feel cheated when you lose and have designed your f**king list to prevent feeling those feelings, ever...it's not Hobby.
If your f**king list was designed to make it almost impossible for your opponent to have even a chance of winning...it's not Hobby.
If you want to win no matter what, even if that means your opponent has zero fun during the game...then your f**king list isn't Hobby.

And before anyone gets all butthurt about this, keep in mind I'm from the "If it's in your book, take it" school. I have no problem whatsoever with somone making a Heavy list for a non-Hobby tournament (or even casual play, provided everyone knows what they're getting into prior to the game). The only way to get better is to play hard lists against good players with hard lists...
...but not every game, or gaming event, is about crushing your opponent with the hardest, heaviest, most bada$$ list you can devise -- at least not for everyone, it isn't. If that's the way you play and you don't want to play any other way, f**k man that's fine with me! But don't ruin an event where that style of list-building and play isn't the main event or purpose. I think that's all anyone could ask. Simply put, it's about respecting each other as a gaming community -- and that includes respecting other players with other styles of playing the game.
