    Badab theme forces

So "theme" forces was an idea we had for the Badab book to fill up some of the pages that were removed in the re-edit. The theme or battle formations would be like Apocalypse formations/datasheets, except that they are designed to be used in a standard game. The premise is that if you fulfill a certain core force organization, you gain special benefits.

For example, something like this for Novamarines:

    Code:
    Terminator Strike Force
    Theme requirements:

    Captain Blaylock
Chief Librarian Durja and accompanying squad of Terminators
    1+ squad(s) Terminators
    1+ squad(s) Assault Terminators
    0-1 Heavy

A force led by both Captain Blaylock and Chief Librarian Durja
(accompanied by his Librarium squad of Terminators) containing
two or more squads of Terminators as specified as above gains
    the following benefits:

All Terminators arriving via Deep Strike scatter 1D6.

A squad containing either Blaylock or Durja (or either character
alone) does not scatter when it arrives via Deep Strike.
    Any ideas for other armies?

    Novamarines -- Terminator Strike Force
    Star Phantoms
    Executioners
    Fire Hawks
    Space Sharks
    Red Scorpions
    Lamenters
    Marines Errant
    Exorcists
    Mantis Warriors
    Astral Claws
    Minotaurs
    Sons of Medusa
    Salamanders
    Fire Angels
    Raptors
    Howling Griffins

That's fine with me; now we just need to come up with at least one formation for each army.

you wanna put a list of all the armies at the top of the page so we can mark off the ones we have come up with ones for?

I think we should seriously consider making landraiders a troop choice for space sharks if you take all 6 of them

What's their FW special guy's powers? I think it should be complementary to that, and/or to the Fly Lord characters. Novamarines Captain makes Terminators scoring (but not Troops), so this kinda piggybacks off of that.

But I like 6 Land raiders.

Traditionally, Red Scorpions abhorred the use of snipers, infiltrators, and other such sneaky shenanigans. They are a 'in your face' and 'up the center' legion, preferring to stand proud in the face of enemy fire (the almost universal Feel No Pain may have something to do with that).
If your Red Scorpions army contains NO sniper rifles, and will not be outflanking or infiltrating, AND it has 3+ tactical squads:
Once per game, and all in the same turn, all Rhino-chassied vehicles may move an extra 6" in the movement phase.

"Have pride in your colours, brothers! Do not hide who and what you are: We are the Emperor's fist which smashes the heretic in the FACE, and rips him a new asshole!"

How about no Scouts, 3+ Tacs and Rhinos are Fast? A little more limiting than all Rhino chassis.

And it should probably have to include one or more of the special characters.

I remember something in the FW books about Howling Griffons using a lot of terminators. Maybe something around that.
