I know this has been hashed over but I'm still in the dark about this.
The Space Marine FAQ Stated that the stat line from the WD rules for the Storm Talon is to be replaced by the stat line in the BRB. Easy enough. However does this mean that I can still use the Hover Strike and Escort Craft special rules?

Yes. Rules say to ignore the unit type and call it a flyer, not a fast skimmer, and use the hull points and stat line. Everything else is still in play.
