Anti-dwarf people can be d1cks, aka Bayou rant ...

I really think I got screwed by anti-dwarf bias at Bayou ... Literally in 4 out of 5 games (Jordan being the exception), the entire game my opponent and I were laughing, having fun, complimenting one another on paint jobs and favorite figs, and even hanging out for a bit after and talking. Every single game ... if you don't like playing dwarfs then comp us as hard lists and hit us there.

The final standings are out (they haven't gotten them up on the website yet, but they just went up on the Houston group's facebook page). I was 12th in battle score. With literally only 5 or 6 more points in sportsmanship than I had I would have been a top 10 finish in my first GT. What happens? I scored tied (with multiple other people) only 1 point above the lowest sportsmanship of the entire tournament. There is no way I should have had that low of sportsmanship, that is just people hating the style of dwarves play ... but that's what comp is for.

Instead of a top 10, I get 23rd ... what bull**** ... hell Jordan had 1 more point of sportsmanship than I got, FML

It's not poor sportsmanship to play the army that GW gives us. Some of us have loved dwarfs in all forms of fantasy and choose them for that reason. We don't get magic to 6 dice killer spells, we don't have fast cav to play avoidance lists, we start off the game handing 2 phases of the game to the opponents ... like every army we have to play to our strengths ... my list was tough (and got comped like it), but I didn't go full gunline, there were no missile troops core, no stubborn banner, no hammerers, no 5 warmachines like the best dwarf generals will tell you are required ...

    GAH!

Ok, back to your lives ...
