    Narrative track

Make the whole thing linked. Like both tables have a single 7' s10 ap1 template they can lob at the other table every turn. Or a bridge between the two tables. Or something.

A few more drawing prizes would have been awesome.

    No swag-bags this year?

Swag bag question was handled on the BOLS forum.

If I tell you, "You're wrong," you'll need to click this.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Given the track record, no person in their right mind should expect swag bags.

As far as the narrative track is concerned, I think we should import Adam Harry's concept. I loved that apoc style game we played at BFG.

One smaller game played by Frank and I. We had a grid of the big Apoc table and at the end of every one of our turns, whoever controlled the objective fired a big apoc template at a grid coordinate on the big table. LAZORS FROM SPACE!!!!

We can expand this to 2 tables or more and these are the ships in space with boarding parties on each one. From here, the boarding parties are trying to wrest control of the enemy ship and vice versa to fire on the surface.

You can also expand from here with things like, whoever controls the lander ship gets to deploy first on the apoc table or who gets to deploy thier titans first.

I love the idea of the smaller tables affecting the bigger tables.

1 for 3... yeah its a pretty lousy track record. But I had lots of fun. Thanks to the BoLS guys for running this thing for the last 3 years.

I agree with the books, but I liked the random bits and stuff in the last ones.

That aside, it was awesome this year!

yeah, except that the wargamescon site claimed that there would be swag bags. it was even given as the main reason people who were not playing in the events might still want to purchase a badge, so that they would get the swag bag.

I'm not terribly disappointed about not getting the swag bags (though they had some cool stuff the first year I played), I just think they should not be mentioned on the event website until they are a sure thing. if they don't pan out, no one will be annoyed about it, if they do people will be pleasantly surprised when they get a cool little bag o' goodies.

Aside from that, I really enjoyed the event this year. Looking forward to next time

I think everyone would like to see linked -something- during the APOC games. If it's linked tables, or linked BFG games going on that affect the "main" table. I think the narrative track would be a lot of fun and I know it might not be the biggest draw, but it seems really unique and those guys are all having a blast playing in it.

But if you make it overly complicated (by linking too much stuff) it can also bog down an already slower pace game.
