Thread: The never-ending debate

Erin, I understand dwindling patience. I am tired of people making excuses for others crappy behavior. I am tired of known cheaters being coddled like they are misguided children when in fact they should be treated like grown adults. As far as the complaining about OP armies. Do you even look at other forums? These same arguments are going on all over the 40K world. It's not an Austin thing it's a 40K thing. The Houston guys were arguing the other day about the same issues. The difference is they have tournaments where 5 Wraith Knights is an acceptable list. If that were the case here, I would be the one quitting. However, I wouldn't come on this forum and rage quit I would just stop showing up.

No, I spend very little time on other forums. I occasionally read the BOLS comments sections until I get aggravated with the overwhelming stupidity.

I know it is a global thing though - but the point is, we can't change that. We all do have the capacity to work together and create something better than that here. Arguing about the issues just to vent frustration does nothing, but recognizing there are issues and trying to be creative and solve them by having rational discussions can. But you are right, things devolve too quickly, too often. Which is a lot of what I have been saying for months and months now, we can do better.

Walking away is fine if that is what one wants to do - but then you create this void where people invent all sorts of false notions for why one left. Only reason I am addressing this here today is I won't allow people to characterize my decisions based on their false notions. I am trying to be very clear. If nobody cares, fine. But just leaving with no explanation doesn't do anything to make the underlying problems go away.
