We also have a great group of WHFB players. Tuesday nights we have open/pick up games at Ddagons Lair (people start showing up around 5:30-6; officially games start at 7, but in reality it often starts whenever as people pair off), and the third Sunday of every month is a WHFB tourney. Even yesterday on Easter we had 12 turn out for the tourney.

Welcome to Austin, come join us anytime!

I have played many minis game. I have been playing Battletech exclusively the last two years in Ohio/NY. Although I am desperately looking for Battletech players, I am considering getting back into my other past interests. I play Malifaux (Guild, Resurrectionists, Outcasts), Warmachine (Cygnar), Hordes (Legion), Firestorm (Terran, Directorate), Uncharted Seas (Ralgard, Bone Griffons), 40k (Tau), WHFB (High Elves, Chaos), Confrontation (Lions), Warlord (Crusaders), and more WizKids Clix than you can shake a stick at.

    Ka,

You can pretty much find anything that you are looking for here in Austin, even Battletech. If you are looking for a person to play, I would reach out to a person named "Homer" on the boards. That is Shannon, him and a couple of others (including me) been thinking about playing battletech and getting back into it. We have a couple of games but time is a matter of question for all of us.

If you are looking for 40k, Thursday Nights at DL is great. I would also check out Wonko's and a couple of other stores depending on what time fits you. Either way the community is great and pretty strong here so dive in and have fun!

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am slowly making my way to the various game nights at DL (hey noodlers and CRP). I hope to check out Whose Turn Is It in the near future too. I can already see myself get back into most the game systems. And, I will reach out to evil homer to see what kind of interest we have for Battletech. --Ka

    40k

I started building up a Space Marine army at Christmas after a 14 year hiatus from 40k. Previously, I was an Eldar player, but I decided to go SM this time. I've been taking my time painting what I have, but I'll soon have enough painted to field 500-750 pts. I have a pretty good idea of what I want 1000 pts to look like, but I'm trying to be diciplined and paint what I have before buying more. With my Eldar, I had about 2500 pts worth and 80% of it was only basecoated.

As soon as I have my librarian and my second tac squad painted, I think I'll be ready to play a small match. I would like to find someone to play with that has some patience as I learn the new rules. 4th ed was a long time ago.

    Hi Daniel,

Keep an eye out on this forum. We will be doing another Learn To Play Night at DL this summer.

    Just moved to Austin!

I plan to frequent Dragon's Lair in Austin.
I mainly played Mordheim as a minis game, but nobody seems to rock it anymore!
So the games I play, Necromunda and Mordheim. Down to try anything though! Mailfaux and Warhmachine/Hordes i'd love to try.

Also, I need an RPG group! Pathfinder or 3.5!

Looking forward to playing with you guys.
