    Am I the only one....?

Who thinks the new Grey Knights are ****ing ugly? They all look like they were designed on a computer in a really bad way. Their legs are all splayed out and unnatural. I think, more than anything, they are just the most lifeless models GW has ever produced (more lifeless than Necrons or VC, go figure...)..

I think the DreadKnight looks retarded, like if they had built a special suit for a down-syndrome space marine...

It is the "Constant Vigilance" pose. It means you can't move.

I think they look pretty bad-*****.
Malory: Jesus, God, Sterling. School girls?!
Archer: Oh, those are just costumes.
Malory: And I suppose that makes it better?
    Archer: Doesn't it?

My biggest gripe is the whole 5 models for $33 thing. Then again, that's better than the BT conversion kits. At least these come with legs!

It looks like mixing in a few normal marine legs should be easy enough to do, and otherwise there are enough extra bits to make some spare dudes.

Except that I never have spare legs 'cause that's how GW decides how many is in a box.

    GW math: box of 10 = 12 torsos, 20 heads, 40 arms, 10 legs.

I think $66 for a squad of basic Troops is about as expensive as things get, except for maybe Troop Wraithguard.

If you cut it 50-50 with a $37 box of tactical marines, that comes out to $52 per squad of 10. So you're getting back to at least being in the terminator ballpark instead of the "seriously wtf" ballpark.

Like I said though, at least these have legs in them at all! The Black Templar conversion kit expects you to have a full box of tactical marines plus that box just to come up with one squad of 10... for a total price of $70, just slightly more than the GK situation.

Realized you did the exact equation I did. Heh heh.

That's not bad for an army that'll have 20 guys in it.

Spread liberally! You can easily get that BT Upgrade to spread over the whole army.

BTW, I've got some spare BT bits if you want 'em. Free to a brave BT player.

No, you're definitely going to have more than 20 guys in an army. Sure, Paladins are neat and all -- and I plan on fielding some, for the sheer novelty of it -- but were it's at are Purifiers and GKSS.
