This is an idea for a WGCon hobby event BDub and I came up with. Comments needed.

Painterdome!
Painterdome is the premiere of a head-to-head, multi-round painting contest at WarGamesCon. Painterdome will match up match up a number of painters each round at individual tables. Painters at each table will compete against each other to advance to the next round. At the conclusion of several rounds, the winner at the final table will be declared survivor and Painterdome Champion.

Bring your paints, tools and skills and see if you have the mettle to become Painterdome Champion!

Schedule

Friday
Qualification Round: 1 pm to 5 pm (4 hours)

Saturday
First Round: 8 am to 11 am (3 hours)
Second Round: 12 pm to 3 pm (3 hours)
Third Round: 4 to 7 pm (3 hours)

Sunday
Fourth Round: 9 am to 12 pm (3 hours)
Fifth Round: 1 pm to 4 pm (3 hours)

How It Works
In the first round each contestant will receive an assembled, primed miniature to paint. Subsequent round may require the miniature to be assembled and/or primed. In any round the miniature may be re-posed, converted or re-primed.

Painters will have 4 hours in the first round and three hours in subsequent rounds to paint the miniature to the best of their ability within the time available.

All paints, conversion bits, basing materials and anything else that goes on the miniature will be supplied by the contestant. Any paint (except spray paint), any basing material and any conversion bits or materials are allowed.

Only water will be supplied. Plastic cups will be available.

At the conclusion of each round a number of survivors from each table will be selected to advance to the following round. Depending on the number of contestants the number of painters to advance from each table will vary. The number of players to advance from each table will be announced at the beginning of the round.

If You Get Eliminated
The second and third rounds on Saturday will host one-off three hour contests for individuals that were eliminated. Prizes will be awarded at the end of each one-off contest.

The first round on Sunday will host the "Hail Mary" round, where previously eliminated painters compete for a spot in the final round.
