No more decurion for me. Turns out invincible necrons aren't much fun to play with, let alone against.
Are you also playing it with the spider and dude that give +1 to re animation?
I did play with the spider (the stalker that gives +1 BS), but you don't even need the dude that gives +1, because everybody gets +1 just for being in the decurion.
Well that's not too bad then. I wouldn't give up on it because I want to play against it. Pretty much any Necron tournament player will be using Decurion and I want some practice against it.
Small games don't balance well, especially if you have an elite forc you are starting with. I don't care how awesome your dudes are, if you've just got 10, it is hard to win.
Todd and I had a pretty unfun game where it was mostly marines stuck in assault for the majority of it. I charged a single marine and another tac squad into his centurions and they stayed locked up for about four turns, barely doing anything to each other. Another tac squad of mine tied up a squad of bikes and another of his tac squads joined in, and eventually he took mine out. He had some pretty unfortunate rolls all throughout the game, which also didn't help. It basically came down to me have more units in his deployment zone, because he managed to kill more of my stuff.
