The Warmachine / Hordes crowd tend to gather on Wednesday nights. If you loved Mordheim then that would be a good game to side step into. Small faction forces and all.
Welcome to the insane asylum.

Heya - anyone in town play Dropzone? Its definitely my New Favorite Game(tm). I've been playing that more than anything else lately, and I'm really looking for other folks to play against. Also looking to see if anyone stocks it - as of last week, Dragon's Lair didn't, but I don't know if anyone else in town does.

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:
"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

As of this posting, I've played one whole game of Warhammer Fantasy, back in the 1990's using a friends army. I've wanted to get into it lately, so I've started building a dark elf army and plan to start participating in the near future once I can field something big enough. I've played a lot of other games over the years, but the only other one I'm really into these days is the occasional casual Magic game.
Welcome Craig! I'm up in Pflugerville too. Come out and join us anytime, we have regular fantasy night on Tuesday nights at Dragon's Lair. The standard point size we play at is 2500 usually, but it's a pick up night, and basically anyone is always happy to play smaller point games as you build up your force, we were all there once too. We also have a monthly one day tournament (usually on the third Sunday, though this month it will be the 4th), and you don't have to be an expert or anything to take part in that. I think I had all of 3 games under my belt before coming to my first one.
Hope to see you around soon!

Finally got myself a 1000 point dark elf army, planning to show up this Tuesday (Aug 19). Hoping someone is there who's willing to play a 1000 point game with a noob who basically doesn't know much of what he's doing.
