Why don't YOU give a solid argument for including 30K besides just dismissing other people's legitimate concerns? We have just had one new player and one player new to the area speak out against including 30K and y'all have completely disregarded them and their concerns without addressing the issue at all.
Nu-uh is not an argument.

They are not legitimate concerns though. Basing the games credibility off of thoery crafting isnt reasonable. Now had those people actually played against it and thought it was "OP", then the opionion would have merit.
I have, among others, given plenty of reason to allow 30k im our events locally. The fact of the matter is, 30k is so underpowered vs current things in 40k that any argument against is just plain silly.

And there you go being dismissive and close minded again.
They ARE legitimate concerns. People do not like to be bamboozled and 30K opens the door for a lot more units, war gear and SRs. It is disingenuous of you to declare otherwise. The FACT of the matter is there are some extremely powerful units in 30K that can surprise players.
We have had this discussion a few times now and it is extremely frustrating that you are not willing to even consider any viewpoint but your own. You act like a person can learn everything they need to know about 40K by reading 3 pages. You have said that. I find it impossible to believe that those 3 pages will magically give me information about every unique unit and every unique SR in 30K.
So far, you're argument has been:
30K is not overpowered
You can know all the rules by reading three pages
There are so many gotcha moments in 40K what's a few more hurt. Basically let's bail out the sinking boat by bailing water INTO it.
Sorry, I'm not convinced and neither are a lot of others.
BTW just because when asked if they want to allow 30K in and the person replies "I don't care" That does not mean they WANT 30K allowed.

Guys we're going to give it a try and see. If you don't want to that's your choice. If you are concerned about the new rules or about the possibility of a unbalanced game those are valid concerns and I will try to make sure that this is not an issue. I will have the 30k rules with me for anyone who wants to look through them and read.
I ask that anyone planning on bringing a 30k army be extra careful about explaining rules to their opponents so that you can avoid any gotcha moments.
I'm asking you guys again to please PM me with your concerns. If you want to continue to argue please start another thread.
I don't think you've played against 30k or you would know how silly your argument is. You are right though, 30k has some powerful units, they might even rival Chaos Space Marines in 40k.....
There really is not that many rules for 30k that are different. There are more rules in the last 40k campaign book than all of 30k but you are willing to let that in without ANY problems.
Also, the only people that are actively fighting this that I know of are you, Brian and these two new guys? Who else?
