I don't understand the poll choices. Satisfied and Mortified are kinda good/bad opposites of each other, but in what way are Petrified and Indifferent related?? I might have voted for 'indifferent' but I'm not actually scared stiff.
    My write-in vote is: Stupified.

I've completely been driven away from caring about GW at all. The last straw for me was when they switched to resin to save money, raised prices anyway, and then released some of the worst-produced models I've ever seen from them in their initial finecast offerings.

Then you get into the fact that they appear to have the same amount of internet savvy as any given amish community and could care less about communicating with... anybody, and things get worse. Take for example, Dreadfleet. Regardless of if it's a good game or not (I honestly have no idea, and I'm not judging it), they expected people to buy it almost completely blind. A quick google search finds that they put up an intro video that I assume shows off the game, but just about every other board game manufacturer puts out PDF rulebooks for people to look at before they buy the incredibly expensive game.

When you take all that stuff and then add in the fact that people are completely spoiled for choice as far as games go, with a ton of good rulesets covering basically every genre of minis game you could want to play, it's become super easy to let my 40k stuff gather dust on the shelf.

I think the really nasty thing they did this year was disallow international shipping from their retailers. There were basically a whole bunch of gamers in Australia going "maybe GW doesn't hate us... maybe their foreign pricing division just has a weird policy on AU exchange rates. Oh well since I love their games so much I'll just do what I can to make it possible for me to actually play." Then GW gave them the finger. A giant burning red hot finger. In the butt.

I'm not too fed up with GW as a company (yet). they definitely made some bad moves this year, especially with Finecast and screwing the AU market. But its not going to change my spending habits too much. I already don't spend much on 40K, maybe a $40 box every four or five months. most of my newer stuff came from trading my old stuff away or winning a box here and there.

On the other hand, I have been spending a lot of money on Warmachine. I'm kind of on a warmachine kick right now. I haven't fully decided if it's a better game or if I'm just happy to play something new. It has definitely taken a front seat for me, in purchasing, painting and playing time. which mostly means, until I get back into 40K mode (maybe for GT season), I won't be spending much if anything on GW. so I don't really care what they do ATM...

If my experience is anythign like other gamers, GW better watch out. PP is going to take full advantage of their bad timing and dumb mistakes.

Many places still ship to AU. Mostly it screwed a bunch of UK retailers, specifically one they have a long-standing not-love-relationship with.

I have trouble treating GW as some monolithic entity. I'm certainly not a fan of business practices listed above, but I like the work on daily blogging that their web team does. I think the last year's 40k Codexes are good. Finecast is better than metal.

    It is what it is.

There has always been an army or two that people dread playing against/get tired of seeing on the table. It was BA when I first started playing, then chaos, then Iron Warriors specifically, and so on.

I ended up dropping 40k and Fantasy because of how tired I was playing, in my opinion, unbalanced games. The price point didn't help either. Now I need to find a buyer for some of my stuff because the rest is now going to be used for Tomorrows War.

I'd just like to say that where I come from, "atm" has a totally different meaning.

Though I'd agree it is still apropos.
