    Infinity

I've had a couple of guys ask me about Infinity in the last couple of weeks. Is there real interest in this game? If people are committed to trying this I'll start assembling terrain but I need to know people are really interested before I do the work.

Infinity requires a lot of terrain (60%+ coverage on a 4x4 table)and most our 40k is really not suitable both from an aesthetic and Infinity functional point of view. I'm willing to put some work in but might need some help as well.

I'm going to sit down tonight and see if I can rough out some buildings in Sketch-up and maybe put together some building templates.

I just ordered my rulebook. I'll be deciding on a faction once I get it. I'll help assemble terrain, if you're going to be at DL thursday we can talk about it.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

If I tell you, "You're wrong," you'll need to click this.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

I'll be picking up either Aleph or Pan O.

Here is a pretty good link from the Infinity forums on getting started. Links to the rules, the wiki, Corvus Belli's videos, etc.

Working diligently on terrain. Two buildings nearly complete and 2 more in the planning stage. Materials gathered to start building some scatter terrain as well.

I was thinking about some of the store terrain. Some of it might work, the store has a quite a bit of complete LoS blocking stuff, the brick castle and a number of the ruins have 1 or more faces that completely block LoS. It might be workable until enough Infinity style stuff is built.

I'l be making a faction decision this week and will try and get at least a starter box ordered.

I have a fair amount of Nomad stuff from when DL clearanced it all a couple of years ago. I've always wanted to see how the game worked. When and where would this be happening?

Not sure, people are still getting models together and I'm still building terrain. There isn't anything definite yet. I just keep updating the thread to let people know I'm working on it. Will definitely let you know when things are ready to kick off. On another note,How is Dark Age to play?

I've never played it. Its a pretty straightforward game with an action point system. So instead of running you would spend two APs to move twice. Or if you didn't want to move maybe you could shoot twice unless your only gun had a RoF of one or something. Expensive models get more APs or weapons that shoot twice for a single AP. Everyone gets gang up bonuses in melee so you're fighting to surround enemy models to make sure they're dead. Alternating model activation system instead of turn-based like WM or 40k.

I learned this from reading the two books they sent to BoLS for review. I was shocked by how badly written the Forcelists book was. Both books were riddled with typos. The main rulebook actually has a pretty horrific typo right on the back cover: a whole repeated sentence : http://cf.geekdo-images.com/images/pic1333282_md.jpg.

Still it has a really devoted following of fans who think its totally great. But so do a lot of terrible things. So it could be a lot of fun. Or terrible. I was curious enough to grab some minis for 75% off to add to the ones they sent to BoLS. Now I have enough for two people to play a small game.

I'm going to watch you guys play and see how it all works out before I consider dumping money into it.
