Yeah, we need to talk with our group to figure out some ideas to get better Malifaux terrain.

For those who don't get why that matters, 1 - we need smaller pieces - the ones that take up a square foot aren't conducive to the way the game is supposed to play which should use 3-4 pieces of small terrain per square foot for a board that is 25-50 percent covered in terrain overall, 2 - there are rules for moving into and playing in buildings, but the 1 piece of terrain I knew of that had a removable top got destroyed pretty quickly, 3 - all los is determined by height bands, which always means a before hand discussion as to how to classify each part of a piece, 4- theme, but that is minor.

Those are things we can deal with as a group as most of the malifaux players are hobby inclined. But it would suck if we make a bunch of stuff for malifaux and it gets mixed in with all the rest, to be carelessly handled.

I do hope we can get a couple of those other mats like I had requested earlier in this thread, as I think it would make the oddball deployments a lot easier to use. Will send them a message about that.

Also, the new mats look great. And I would support a designated hobby day to meet up with everyone and fix terrain and come up with ideas to ensure it doesn't get so banged up. Saturday afternoon is best for me for something like that.

I like how they seem to be leaving the terrain on top of the tables, makes it easy to have a themed battleground ready to go. Tho would have been great if they had gotten a few of the x-wing type mats, or some 3/4x3's (that isn't a complaint, just a suggestion for future, as I know the FAt mats like that are available)

THIS. I don't care for the bins, especially for forests, but a designated table where the forests gets stored would make it so much easier. Of course, getting all the players to put stuff back where it belongs is always an issue.

Hey, had asked earlier in the thread, but if you hve a couple that the Malifaux group could use that would be great. Specifically, I want to use a marker to permanently mark out certain deployment zones, as ours can be pretty funky for some scenarios.

Also, I would have bought one for personal use. I actually like the material for those ones, cause I am clumsy and knock stuff over, so the stickiness was great for me.

I would encourage everyone to try and come this week to open play this week so you can chat with him. Jason is a skilled builder and carpenter and has some awesome ideas for custom tables but wants to chat with everyone first about this. I just want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we fix this issue and strive to make a better gaming environment for everyone who comes to Dragon's Lair. As the newly appointed Events Manager (previously Events Coordinator in the Burnet location many moons ago) I want to give you my word that your group is appreciated and that I am listening to your concerns and am willing to work with everyone to cultivate a fun and awesome experience for all of our play groups, yours included. Please email me if you any questions that you wish to speak with me about directly. I look forward to working with everyone! Thanks!
Yeah, I was hoping to see this person during Malifaux gaming last night. Would appreciate the ability to speak regarding options for our game, as it requires different types of terrain compared to say 40k (see post i made a few prior to this one). Hope they can stop by some Wednesday evening.

And sorry all for the multiple posts, was easier than figuring out how to multi-quote at the moment.

No I mean you can literally pick up a building from wherever they are stored and place them onto a table built out into any theme. The true definition of the verb put.

I think the Plasticraft Malifaux terrain is pretty cool. Much of it would work for Fantasy as well as WoKs and WarmaHordes.

I really like that terrain diroma set up, all the different levels and bulidings makes it a very cool looking board. But I have this one thought running through my head:
"Concerned citzen: Mayor why do we have a ladder leading from a bridge into the city park?
Mayor: Well you see...humm VOTE ME!!! Mayor dashes off."
"The Machine will grind you down."

You don't want to question the Governor-General ... Bad things happen.
