Why is it so quiet all of a sudden?

It seems like the forum has died as far as traffic and posting goes. I know that the death of fantasy has fractured that side of the community a bit, but that seems like less than a full explanation for why no one seems to post anything much here any more. I think we have a great gaming community with interest in a lot of different games ... it sucks to see the life drained from our online message boards.

Warmachine and kings of war people moved to facebook groups. Not like the majority of the people here gave a **** about any game besides 40k anyway.

I would attribute that to the players of those other games not choosing to talk about it here. If warmachine players choose to use facebook instead of centex, that's not the forums fault.

Since aos came out there has not been any 40K releases to talk about.

Plus I have been away for 2 months.

Lets see why is it dead here?
40k eltism makes other games less inclined to post.
AoS broke a 35 year long system into many different parts.
KoW is fledgling (but growing fast), plus their own site is more geared to KoW debates and goes out of its way to be friendly.
Those are the top thoughts I have about why this site is slowing down.

What's funny is, we had 22 players in the Sept Tournament and 12 in Oct. With a lot regulars being out for various reasons. Just because the usual subjects have bailed, it doesn't mean people aren't playing the game. We have quite a few regulars at the tournaments that don't post here. 40K is still strong in Austin.
