Thread: Introductions

Hey guys, I just moved to Austin a couple weeks ago from PA. I mostly play Warmachine, but I'm also into WFB and I collect and paint 40k stuff (though I do not enjoy the game). I was at DL last night for Warmachine and I talked to a few of you, but I plan on coming in next Wednesday as well.

Charles--as if you couldn't figure that out from my name.

Warmachine/Hordes in North Austin/Pflugerville. I play Khador but am branching out to trolls.

I'm not really new but I have been out of the country for 17 months working and am now back home so I am very rusty. I do have my own table and terrain and plenty of room and I am free during the day if you are "in between jobs". Plus if you are over 21 I buy the beer.

email is [email protected] if you are looking for a pick up game.

    Gracias

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."

All your favorite haunts have been overrun by hipster douche trucks. I've been finding the super local Taquerias and not so popular Tex-Mex places always have room, no waiting, and the food and drinks are tasty and cheap.

If I tell you, "You're wrong," you'll need to click this.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Hello, my name is Michael, and I've actually been in Austin for quite a few years. I joined this forum a while back, but fell out of wargaming due to living pretty far from any stores. I just recently moved pretty close to the new Dragon's Lair, though, and would really like to be more active in the wargaming community!

    I mostly play
    Warhammer 40k: Tyranids, DA, Orks
Warhammer Fantasy: Skaven, WOC (though I haven't seen the new book yet), Lizardmen

I also would really love to learn Warmachine/Hordes better, though the size of the games I see on Wednesdays is a bit intimidating. I have a PoM starter box, but I am still very much a beginner. Anyone willing to help me learn the ropes would be greatly appreciated!

Another game I am interested in is Dust, though at this point that is just a burgeoning interest; I have no models for it or anything.

Thanks, and hope to game with y'all soon!
