Can't say I blame them. Also, DftS is a POS that only serves to add flyers to certain SM groups, does nothing for SoB or SW (both of which would have benefited from some aerial defense support, if not a flyer option). I'm not worried about xenos as much, since codices are on the horizon for eldar and tau, and the others have flyers.

Yes but if you want to play a Dakka Jet or take a Ultra Marine Storm Raven in a local tourney, aren't you required to have the book in hand?

The Dakka jet at least is available as an ebook. Would this new book invalidate the old WD and e book?

Looking at the FAQ, they FAQ'ed the WD out and specifically replaced it with the book to force people to buy another book for models they already own.

"The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."

In this regard no, yesterday's BRB rulebook FAQ covers it.

I think GW compelling the hobbiest to purchase rules directly from GW is a crock. I like to support my local stores. I do not want to be forced to purchase something I may want directly from GW.

GW is making it harder and harder to defend the company. It's like a crack dealer that keeps raising the prices and beats you up if he finds out you bought from anyone else.

Seriously, its almost like they are trying to piss the world off.
