    Hi Dandy,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm running Necrons. I was at Dragon's Lair last night, I played a game with Yumanji (sp?) and his Deathwing/Ravenwing, and had a great time.

    K-Thanks-Bye
    Hi King,

Welcome back to Austin. Thor's Hammer is no more. Dragon's Lair on Thursday evenings is where its at (they've moved into a big store on Anderson since you've been gone).

Hello. I live in Temple/Belton. I own a very small tau collection, but am slowly growing it. I have a battlebox coming Tuesday.

Many of my models are currently proxies (dinos painted up are my kroot, fairies painted up are my vespid). My broadside is papercraft, and I am going to make two more of those.

I do not have any heavy tanks or airplanes, as I am at a loss as to how to proxy those (I have been loaned marine tanks to use in the past).

The biggest game I have played is 1000 points. It was a tie.

Obviously I have much to learn as I grow in the hobby. But I would like to play the game soon, this weekend (Sept. 25/26 2015) even. If anyone is down for such a game hit me up. I will drive to dragons lair if need be, or in Killeen battlefield games (or any other store with tables within an hour of me).

Hola, Josemaria! I'm pretty sure I can do a game this weekend if you want to go to Dragon's Lair. I'm on the south side of Austin. If you can make it Th, I'll be there as well. I am totally fine with you proxying anything you want, and if you want to do a couple smaller point games, I can even loan you models to use for whatever tanks/planes you want. I play chaos.

Well, work is now sending me away, so I won't be here this weekend. I hope to know by tmrw if I'll be at DL on Thursday. I hope you find a game! FYI I'm fine with playing with proxies all over the place. See you around

I appreciate it! I am a husband, father, and teacher first. So weeknights are tough.

Enjoy your work trip! I will be around! I am going to repost this on the pickup game forum, I just noticed that.

    Vaya con Dios,
    Josemaria

Hi, I'm Nick W. I live in NW Austin, close to Wonkos and close enough to DL. I'm working on a Crimson Fists army. So far I have 2 tactical squads and a Pedro Kantor model I got used. They are pretty far away from the table top as they need to be stripped and painted. But they are a good place to start. I also enjoy making terrain, and have a few WIPs. I previously played back c1994-1998 and wish I still had my minis from back then. I'm pretty astounded by how detailed contemporary minis are vs what I knew in my youth -- all pewter and bulbous. Still I previously had a MEQ spam army of Chaos Marines and Berzerkers that I do miss.

I like other war games, D&D, and others, but haven't had much exposure, and 40k can be a pretty consuming hobby, especially when building a new army after so long away.
