    ROUND 1: 40K Escalation League @ DL Mar 12 - Apr 30

    Round 1

    CRP v. Sid
    TxPlays v. RealGenius
    CaveMatt v. Viscount Alexandru
    Darkwynn v. Sloth
    DandyPandy v. Nate668
    morella888 v. Hogleg

Please post results here when done.

    Mission 1: Cleanse Combat Patrol

    Armies: 500 points
Battlefield: 4x4 table, Vanguard Strike Deployment. Roll off to pick deployment zones.
Objectives: Starting with the player that won the deployment roll, alternatively place 3 objective markers (pg 134). The battlefield is strewn with ammo packs, supplies and other detritus of war. Each of the three objectives counts as Mysterious Objective #4 (unit controlling this objective re-rolls failed To Hit rolls of a 1 when shooting).
Deployment: Standard Deployment method (pg 132)
First Turn: The player that set up first can choose to take the first or second turn. If they decide to take the first turn, their opponent can Seize.
Third Turn: During each player turn on game turn 3, roll D3 to randomly select an objective. Score 1 victory point if you control that objective at the end of your turn.
Variable Game Length, Reserves, Night Fighting
Victory Conditions: Each objective controlled at the end of the game counts as 2 Victory Points. Slay the Warlord, First Blood and Linebreaker count as 1 VP each.

Feel free to use this mission or play your own generated from the book, modified for smaller armies. 500 point games are generally one-sided affairs, so play for fun.

The following League-wide rules are in effect:
    • All models have Preferred Enemy: Unpainted. Unpainted means fewer than three colors, primer counts as a color.
    • All models not completely assembled always move as if they are in difficult terrain.

Please post if you can't find a time to play against your opponent and we'll shuffle.

TxPlays, will you be able to play at DL on Thurs evening?

    Sloth,

    Thursday?
    Stony said...

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."

Matt/Cavematt, you had said that Thursdays aren't really good for you. What time this week would you be able to get a game in?

I am free Wednesday, otherwise it would have to be Monday or Tuesday next week for me.

What time wed? I have plans in the evening, but I could do something in the afternoon or even late afternoon, as long as I could be done by about 4-4:30.
