But see.. its not the same. I can go to a draft and spend $15 and play 3 rounds. The entry price is much much lower and the game has modes that reward you for playing at lower barriers of entry (sotra like kill team, maybe?). If you are playing competitive type II magic, than sure it can go into the hundreds of dollars in a rotating fashion.
I think we should all be playing origami-hammer. Then it is just the cost of some paper.

I empathize with your stance on this, but when two DROP PODS cost over $200 after shipping and tax, take a month or more to arrive and then need extensive rework and modification to fit together, maybe you can see how I might want to mitigate that time, money, and effort investment just a little if possible. Besides, if someone did have a pod or two they wanted to sell, I would be helping them recoup some of that over-inflated cost they spent for models they no longer use, and more than likely what I pay then will go right back to GW when they use it to buy models they do want.
It sounds as if you are completely against the aftermarket trading for which this forum was set up. Maybe you should avoid this particular part of the boards and pass less judgement on people.
BTW, if you have ever bought a used car, shopped at a garage sale or flea market, or been anything but the fist and only owner of a house, then you are just as guilty of participating in that which you now condemn.

HI dan
I apologize we must have gotten our wires crossed here. John said I was pro gw because I give him a hard time about running the ***** *** operation. I responded in the context of teasing him about not buying models from gw. My comments had nothing to do with you or the resale market.
