    Badab, v2

    Here's the current progress on the Badab re-do.

    EXPAND CAMPAIGN SECTION
    I haven’t read the FW campaign section yet so I don’t know if we could expand upon this, but perhaps add more missions (I liked the ones we came up with) and Apoc missions (especially with BoLS con in mind).


    Keep in mind everything should be SLIGHTLY under-priced. Special Characters in the SM are all under-priced and since this is a fan book, there should be an added incentive to make these special characters...


    Novamarines- Chapter Tactics
    Master Librarian Ignacio Durja 200pts

    Nova Armor- terminator armor with 2+/3++ save
    Force Weapon
    Psychic Hood
    Psychic Powers: Might of Heroes, Quickening, Nemesis Curse- 18” doom against units with a Toughness, tank hunters against units with an armor value.
    Revered Ancient: Durja may be accompanied by a single squad of Terminators which count as a Troops selection. Durja may not leave this unit voluntarily, though he still counts as an IC for all other purposes.


    Star Phantoms-
    ‘Pathfinder’ Atticus +100pts
    One Command Squad may select Brother Atticus in place of a Company Champion for +100 pts.

    One Terminator Squad may replace its Sergeant with Master Apothecary Eroq for 50 points

    Psychic Power: Prescience: This power is cast once per turn at the beginning of any phase. Merrin may give one friendly unit within 12” any USR. This lasts the duration of that phase only.
    Master Librarian: Merrin may cast three psychic powers per turn.

    The Heart of Suns- An ancient piece of archeotech, the ‘Heart of Suns’ is a holy relic and sometimes a weapon of great power, but its machinations are mysterious. It is carried by a Servitor and has the following profile: Range: 36” S: 2D6 AP: D6 Type: Heavy D6 *roll for each stat once per turn. A S roll over 10 counts as 10 and in addition bestows the Rending rule.
    High Reclaimer: Friendly units within 6” of Cantos are Fearless.


    Raptors-
    One Sternguard Squad may replace its Sergeant with Veteran Sergeant Laufrey for 50 points

    The Fly Lord Productions sub-forum isn't viewable to everyone; you are one who can see it. But I figure having it here will help it get finished, since work kinda stalled.

    One thing we wanted to add, but haven't gone through yet are the Battle Formations-- like Warmachine theme forces/Apoc formations for normal 40k-sized games.

    Taking any ideas on those, and taking pics of people who build any of those Special Characters.

    Makes me very happy to see this again. Will think on Red Scorpion Apoc ideas.
    Jim I have two RS terminator apothecaries I'd love to get photographed. Plus the single tac marine on page 12 is one of the most boring in my army... dunno how that guy made the layout.

    I also think that if any of the Badab people are willing to build and paint a special character, we should come up with a name and some rules for them...

    Still some balance issues amongst the chapters. If we want people to build them, they should all be equaly unique and attractive. Right now, some of them are no brainer choices over others.

    The balance also comes in the paint scheme. Harder paint scheme= harder character doesn't seem inappropriate, gives people motivation.

    Don't fool yourself. We all know that whatever the most powerful chapter is will eventually be played by some sort of goat/marine hybrid models.

    Which ones are the "harder" paint schemes? It's been so long since I looked at these.

    any of the 1/2 or 1/4 paint schemes are "harder"

    I have Merrin as a chaplain in terminator armor. I need to paint it finally
