    Name: Aaron Walker
    Location: Real Close to DL
Plays At: Mostly at work with co-workers, but looking for more people to play with
    Plays: Warmachine

Saw the Journeyman League play last night at DL and got pointed in this direction. I am hoping to find some players who I can enjoy playing with and am somewhat disappointed to have missed the start of the league...

You can always jump in if you want, I'm sure. Ian would probably allow you to get in some lower point games as well. You might have to play and paint your ass off for the next few weeks if you want to win any of the titles, but that's only if you're worried about those. If you join you'll also probably have the chance to play a lot more games -- I know some of us haven't had much time lately, so have been budgeting most of it for League games. And I'm sure there would be people more than willing to play whatever point game you need to get comfortable with it if Ian's cool with it.

I may try and swing by DL tonight on my way home and see if any of you all are there to discuss. Thanks for the recommendation!

Not generally, no, but for a tournament or something where I'd be spending a good amount of time at the Austin DL? Sure! I think I'll have to make some excursions in the future once I'm a little more comfortable with the game (still re-learning and getting a practical knowledge of the minis I own.)

Plays at: 10th Planet. Used to try to play at DL but a) so very far and b) so not common to get a game on the one night I had free. Willing to try again occasionally
Plays: Hordes (Circle) is pretty much it on the mini front. I stepped out of the hobby just as MKII was coming out, stepped back in about 3 weeks ago. Loving it. I am interested in branching out to another faction or two in the next few months - budget of course always is smaller than my intentions Other than minis I am a bit of a game whore, enjoying Fluxx to Bridge and Carcassone to Empire Builder, with a handful of Looney Labs pyramid games thrown in.

So this is the introductions thread huh? Guess I'll throw myself in here. I have two beginners armies, one 40k IG and one fantasy Skaven. I am fairly new to the town (not really, but other things have kept me from gaming for awhile). Are there any options in South Austin at all, or will I have to go north?

No where currently, one or two pick-up games with friends at home.

First off Welcome and there is nothing down south right now. So on Thursdays we meet at DL for 40k. It starts at 5pm and there is people ready to throw some dice!

    downtown Austin
    Dragon's Lair
    40k, warmahordes

I've recently relocated from the Spokane, WA area (briefly by way of LA) where I played at some of the area's many awesome stores: Gamer's Haven, Merlyn's, Strategy & Games, Hobbytown USA. I'm bound to stick around for at least the next year.

Currently I've got a ridiculous number of SM bikes and have also started a terrible GK flying librarian/henchmen army.

If you're looking for a game downtown during the week just let me know. I'm planning on finishing a proper table sometime this winter/spring.

Not really attached to any store yet
    Interested in 40k

Recently moved to Austin and am looking to get back into tabletop gaming after about a 7-8 year break. Played a lot of 40k a long time ago in 3rd edition but then got sucked into the world of ccgs. Kind of unsure what army to start since it has been so long but I used to play Tau, Deathwing, and Chaos (daemons are seperate now???). Anyway, I am looking forward to starting up again and meeting everyone!
