    Where to get sculpting foam?

Does anyone know where to get sculpting foam in Austin? I want to work on my war table this weekend but haven't had much luck finding anything aside from the crappy pebble foam.

Like pink insulation foam? Home Depot or Lowes. Or is sculpting foam something else?

No, just the thick pink insulation foam. I checked Lowes and didn't see any there (they had the thin blue stuff). I guess I will check Home Depot today or tomorrow. Have you bought some from there before?

The blue foam works the same as the pink foam. It usally comes in as sheets 1-4" thick.

The thick pink stuff is nearly impossible to find in Texas. The hardware stores require a minimum order of 10 sheets. We tried to get a group order a while back but there was not enough interest. I'd be in for 2 sheets.

I heard from a guy in Houston that places that typically cater to contractors carry the stuff. He's gotten up two inches without a special order.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

I have a brick of said foam that is 4inches thick, 2feet long and 12 inches wide. No clue if its enough but its what I got. As said before stuff is hard to get a hold of. So if you want it pm me and we can haggle.
