    Firesprays and Lambda

    IMG_2421.jpg

The basic bounty hunter I've been using as non-Boba Fett Firesprays, I've named it the Upyr. While technically a slavic term for vampire and all around awesome word, multiple firesprays could be Upyrs (up yours).

My fresh Kath Scarlet Firespray. No bloody clue what to call it, as there appears to not be a canon name for her ship. There's ALWAYS a canon name for everything in Star Wars...Of course, now I'm tempted to pick up a FOURTH to do up in Krassis' colours.

For kicks, a literal "flagship" for my fleet, the Gwendolyn's Pride. Kudos to anyone who can ID all 3 patterns on the wings.

I like the blue and brown combo, but the blue-grey on Kath's ship seems a little too blue. That Shuttle is sure to be the most distinctive I've seen, even with talk of the different Lambda paint schemes that have been going around.

It may just be my photo...a lot of pics I take end up washed out a little blue on the light colors. Think it was fenrisian gray...so maybe? I'll have to take a closer look when I get home...and in Dragon's Lair's lighting of course.

And thanks! A distinctive shuttle yes, but you can't deny I'm a fairly distinctive person to go with it. ^_^

If you took the pic under a florescent light any neutral colors that pick up ambient color light (like grays and white) will tint blue. it will shift reds to maroonish-purple a bit too.

Cool cool. I've been picking up on the neutral color bit, but had no idea about the reds.

Went from Fenrisian to Celestra grey. I do think it works better.

I mean, could be something else upgrade-wise, but you're only left with 9 points and SOMETHING'S getting run into.

I've got 1 of each TIE (except for the 2 starter TIE/LN), less to run TIEs (except as a point filler, go Dark Curse!) and more as a card expansion to play the galaxy's favorite reality holovid, Pimp My Firespray.

That, and in games I really like to run the big stuff (yay colossals!). I find it a mixed blessing Malifaux caps out at 50 mm bases.

Huge color difference in the new pics - look good!

FYI, natural light and incandescent light are both warm lights, but since our eyes evolved to perceive color under the influence of the sun, color looks more correct to us in warm light. A full spectrum incandescent bulb is the best light to paint under (if you can paint outside on a sunny day, hehe)
