    November Warhammer Fantasy Tounrey 2000pts

Welcome and hello one and all. It is time for the NEWS!!! At least the local news in regards to WFB Tourney for Nov.
    First the dry crap.
2000pts Start of a New Quarter radda radda, more folks equals more money so if you wanna fat paycheck get more folks to come down. As I have said before to get four 25$ gift cards means we need at least 16 to 18 bodies other wise the pay checks drop off. I have been given no news about stopping medals and replacing them with more cash. I will check progress on that idea tomorrow.

Ok that believe or not was the boring part. Now for the FUN part.

THE VOTE IS OVER and by a margin of roughly 25% (due to some smart asses voting that have no vested interest anymore and one just being silly), it is in favor of the NEW system.
The new system is as follows, MR may be bought and used as normal for units, expect in the case of any spell that has the text or verbiage to the effect of "OR DIE". In those cases characters in said unit may use the MR and only the MR to not suffer the "OR DIE" effect. Rank and file will not benefit as characters in the case of a "OR DIE" spell. Pretty clear right? Do not read into it overly so in any direction. If there is MR in the unit and characters in the same unit, and that unit is effected by a "OR DIE" spell only the characters may use the MR to not die, rank and file is just boned.

There that has been said twice in two different ways. So read it twice before you ask me "huh" or some one says something stupid like "What was that?"

    Next order of FUN!!

It is the invasion of the SWEDS!!!!! Never thought you would hear that one huh? This past year has shown Texas and our local community that Swedish comp is here and here to stay it seems. One of the longest running Indy's will be using it as well as one of the newest. What does that mean to us here? It means that we must adapt and get use to it until it either falls out of favor or something else comes along, seeing as how I don't think either of those will happen for a while its time to adapt. The adaption process?

1 Start doing your rosters in Swed Style. Make your army list using paper, quarter master, army builder WHATEVER you use. Then go online and down load the Swed Comp package. Do not tell me you cant find it that excuse wont fly. Google Swedish Comp and pop there it is. After you have download it figure out where your army sits at.

2We begin using Swedish comp in the games here. But DO NOT WORRIE THIS MONTH WILL NOT BE USING THAT. This point is just to let you know it will be in use in the very near future.

FOR NOVEMBER ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CALCULATE YOUR COMP THATS IT. Read that part several times!!!!!

To be beyond clear, all you do for November is create your list figure out your Swedish comp number and thats it.

I do not want to hear this"my comp is a 9 and yours is a 15 so I get 600pts right?"

This month is just to learn how to use it. END DONE. It will be put into place latter.

Again I stress NOVEMBER is just make a list then figure out your comp number. This is just a learning process, there will be on hand at least one person who knows how to do it if your having problems. Main thing to bare in mind when using the comp system is 300 - all your negatives + your few positives then DIVIDE by 10. The big mistake I keep seeing on other forums and even among some that know it well is they forget to divide by 10 at the end.

Damn that was alot to say but it is a big month. Lots of changes afoot. Lastly Your game one mission for Nov.

What is that bird and why do I want to cook it suddenly!?!?

Place a marker in the middle of the board, that is the TURKEY!!! Aka that bizarre mystery meat.

Deploy fully using battle line rules IE boring normal style nothing fancy.

How the turkey works. It auto flees any charge, it passes all dangerous checks. It passes all checks of any sort automatically. It can not be hurt in any way (magic combat missiles).

It flees 3d6, center from any charging unit, it it comes in contact with a board edge its bounces off the board edge and ends its move there.

If you catch the turkey it is captured and ready for a turkey meal.

That damn VEGAN. Each player can reveal that damn vegan in any of there units. Once revealed that unit is counted as having a vegan. The vegan can not be attacked or effected in any manner, the unit just now has the taint of having a vegan among them.

How the vegan works, he is a rank and file model from the target unit, so yes the unit must have more than one model and can not be a character.

If the turkey is about to caught the vegan may rant and rave about how inhuman it is. The unit that would have caught the turkey counts immediately as having failed the charge. Of course the vegan gets a beat down for this among all his manly mates. The beat down is shown in the form of dropping one OBJ pt. point off from the 4 possible for that players army.

    OBJ points
You can get 4pts for capturing the turkey. -1pt to your side for each time you use the vegan.

You can get 4pts if you never use the vegan.

As normal each player may only get a max of 4OBJ pts.

Example you caught the turkey but used the vegan once then you can only get 3pts.

    TL;DR For Everyone

There will be a Warhammer Fantasy Tournament on November 16 , Dice will roll at 10:30.
It will cost $5, the more people that show up the more prize support there will be
Armies should consist of no more than 2,000 pts.

We will now be allowing characters to use MR to survive against save or die spells. Rank and File do not benefit.

Swedish Comp is coming. Please calculate your armies score at the following link https://www.dropbox.com/s/ahmcyypijv....14.1.pdf?dl=0 . This calculation will have no effect other than to get players used to using it.

I still cant for the life of me figure out Chris's missions so your on your own.

    2000 points?! well I'm out!

nah that's not why, but sadly I can't make it this month, since Lewis Black decided to come to town on tournament day. I imagine I'll be around for Dec, though.

I comped my army anyway though. it's like a 14.

And on the sce ario once he is caught can the turkey be dropped? What happens if that unit is later broken or destroyed? If so, do you get objective points just for catching him? Or do you have to be the one holding him at the end?

No an empire list, and the math is on. Unlike most I can do basic math.
