    Grav devs

What do you guys think about devastators with grav-cannons? I always run my 5-man dev squads with matching weapons, so for me that would be 40 points less than grav cents and 5 more grav shots, but would lose relentless and the hurricane bolters. I don't have the experience to be able to weigh that out in my head.

If they're working for you, how are you running them? Putting them in a transport to get them into range sooner or letting them control the home side of the board?

Can you give them Relentless somehow? That would make them really good.

You could use the Skyhammer Formation to get relentless.

You'd be using arguably the most broken formation in the game, but hey you get relentless Grav Devs in a pod

There you go. Then even the assault marines become decent.

Broken **** aside, besides the warm, fuzzy feeling I get spending money on new stuff, are there any other compelling reasons for me to buy two new dev kits that I'm just missing.

technically, you don't have to give the dev squads heavy weapons right? I assume you are meaning two more if you take two demis and then also the skyhammer. So, if you don't want that many big guns, the demi squads could just be essentially another tactical unit. In a free razorback. Not that this is necessarily efficient pointswise, I have no idea, but is an option.

Stick with Cents.. .they are better even without the formation. You have more tactical flexibility also.

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."

For 165 you can get three Cult Mech Kataphrons with 18 grav shots, at T5/2W. I just don't think Devs are the best bang for the buck.

    But, ammo baby Angels.
