I think so - Rage applies to a unit, not every individual model. So, as long as you move your closest model in the unit, to the closest model of the closest enemy unit (rage lets you premeasure like a mother, too - you have to), then you've technically conformed to rage and can move everything else whereever you want to so long as conforming to normal movement rules - so a bigger DC is better cause it allows you to get your dudes around in assault range or units other than the one that might be leading you around like a bull. The IC moves away from the unit at the same time the unit moves, so I think you could do it then. Now, if the IC is the closest dude in the unit to the enemy unit it might be an issue for your opponent. My thought is that the unit, not the IC is effected by Rage.

I think Spacecurves did a tactics article on BoLs about rage - maybe it was Black Bloat Fly. Anyways, I liked it and decided to start using Dante with DC because you can use hit-n-run special rule with the DC and that movement is NOT regulated in any way by Rage as it is not in the movement phase, nor running, nor a consolidation move. It is not limited by Rage and can be up to a 18" move (3d6) so can allow you to totally relocate your DC or use it to set up another Furious charge. It is just doesn't happen too often cause either the DC has killed the unit or been killed by the end of the 2nd round of combat - don't hesitate to assault some dreads with them.

I've not used this combo much and have really only had the HitNRun thing work out once on some plague Marines. But I don't get to play often...
