Stomp change hasn't been an issue when I played - but really the only time I would want it do what it does via the book - is when I hit a crazy wolf death star. Still killing a ton of dudes does help when you roll 6's.
I am with you on Invisibility. With 3 sources - the psychic assassin can get rid of those - and stomp still kills guys etc. I know from Reese he didn't like it - but a ton of west coast people hated it and thus why it was changed etc.
The D weapon thing - i haven't played enough with them and the only time I got D'd was due to massed D Scythes - which still work the same way as before - force you to make tons of inv saves and then eat it. Sadly scat bikes are more annoying then all that supposed dirty d. There was no changed to CC D which is the only D I usually throw around. If you can't smell it or feel it then it isn't worth throwing that D I think.
W/L is annoying at times too. But like I said - I usually ignore maelstrom and just think - win primary and 2 tert and I got this. Makes these games a lot less of a crap shoot as you try to run around and hold some random objective. It also means you are most likely concentrating on crippling your opponent instead of trying to score a random objective.
We should make a belt buckle for Nick for nick saying #1 CokMaster.

"The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."

Yeah, I don't see why it is needed anymore. There might have been an argument for it at one time, but not anymore.
After playing a bunch of ITC Maelstrom recently, playing a "normal" Eternal War mission for the campaign was kinda boring. I think Escalation does add something to the game.
Escalation is kind of odd but it is one of those rule sets that people to play with when they allow other lords of war. I think for the list of lords of war they are allowing ... It's not needed in most cases. The only two I would call out would be the brass scorpion and Lynx.
Lynx just can kill so much and is so hard to kill. Along with the scorpion if it has grim. If those two stay in keep the escalation rules set.
Also they need to clean up the FAQ. They have sold hold over rules from 6th that rolled into 7th. Such as models with sky fire; fires a blast can't hit FMC. When in the rule book they can.

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:
"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."
To:
"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."
Jim are we talking about the same thing when we say escalation? I mean the rules to give you bonuses to seize the initiative and extra victory points per three hull points? I love maelstrom games

Oops, yeah, that last word should have been maelstrom instead of Escalation.
