Need a different model for Fantasy Salamanders?!

Anybody have any ideas for a proxy/substitute model for Fantasy Lizardmen Salamanders? Don't really want to spend $100 bucks on 4 models...... especially ones as ugly as the GW ones.

    Flesh Hounds of Khorne, perhaps?
They might need a little modifying to seem thicker though. But its 5 models for half the price (sans skinks).

If you can get your hands on some, the Rage Drake d&d miniature is great for converting into giant fire-puking lizards.

Will are you trying to just find a different lizard or some other idea? If it's just a lizard then you can find all types of cheap none GW models just about anywhere to replace em.

Yep there are several from reaper that would fit.. Their new plastic worm is $3.. Also some of the reptus line fit with the lizards.
    I think these come in a pack of 6 for $30.. http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures...sku-down/06177

Thanks for the replies. I went with the Rage Drake. Only paid $30 for a set of four. Not too shabby considering that's what one of the GW ones would have set me back. Not to mention, not metal and a better looking model to my eyes.
