Who is looking forward to this release and why?
I am really hoping for a streamlined game that lead to shorter game times.

I haven't played Sigmar, but I've heard it praised on various podcasts and it sounds like some of those concepts would be welcome changes in 40k.
From what they put out on the community site about the things they were thinking about, I don't really like the idea of everyone getting daemonic instability. My Guard blobs are going to get whittled down super fast in assault unless Commisars/Priests counter that somehow. And if they do that for shooting leadership too, oh boy. Everything else sounded reasonable. I like the idea of variable move distances. Again, it's probably going to hurt the footslogging Guard army I'm building, but we'll see.
I like all the rules discussed. I am concerned that we will get AOS battle tomes or whatever their unit entries are that will white wash all the wargear options in 40k. Then again I trust the company and the direction they have been going the last few years.

I would punch his baby in the face! thats how i roll! ask around, it happens! ~spines
I truly hope they burn most of 40k down to the ground and start over with something new. Which based on the stuff they have published seems likely. 40k has been literal dog**** for about 2 years now and im glad they finally are seeing the things ive been screaming about for several years.
Agreed. 40k is completely out of control
