It is a great hassle for me to make it to play 40K at Dragon's Lair. I live on the opposite side of town AND I rely on the bus to travel. Work schedule has conspired against me to have me work the nights DL has their 40K game nights, including saturdays . I've been thinking of approaching this forum of players to see if anyone would like to start up a Lazy Sunday group. I've gamed at a few different shops, and the place I enjoy most is Whose Turn Is It? Games off South Lamar. What do folks think? I refuse to let work and distance keep me form playing 40K (and fantasy!)
Most of the folks around here play up north at DL. While we would love to have you, based on your constraints, you may want to check in with the folks down south. Look up the Facebook group "South Austin Warhammer 40k". They meet up on Tuesdays to play at Mage's Sanctum.
I work nights Sun -Thurs and I live around the corner from DL. If you ever want to play starting 10am or 11am that would be cool. Just gotta be on my way to work by 1:15p if we're playing at DL. I'm off Fridays so I'll be free to travel south on those days and we can play at the GW shop or wherever.
Just a warning.. I've only played about 5 games of 40k in my life but I do have most of the rules down. I still need to finish up some army assembly. Let me know.
