After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:
"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."
To:
"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."
Trying to find the kings of war rules. The one that was being played last Tuesday.
With the local GTs sticking to 8th this year, should we stick to 8th as a community for now until Alamo is over?
Everybody is welcome to play whatever they wish and I am not saying to new player or returning players should pick up 8th. In fact I would discourage you to do so but for us who played in 8th, can t we stick to 8th if the rest of the fantasy community in TX sticks to 8th for another 4 mos?
Here is the link to the 2nd ed beta rules: http://manticblog.com/wp-content/upl...-Ed-WIP5.2.pdf
But, they are going to release the final rules online for free on Friday. So, you can always wait until then to see exactly what you'll be getting in August.
Hey yah Dino
So I made a call on the local scene a lil bit ago. Just to bring you up to speed real fast. This month locally its 8th then we switch over to Kings for August and the forseeable future.
As for sticking with 8th, I am more than sure that as this year marches on you will find plenty of folks who will play 8th ed games with you for pratice to the last few Indys for this year. Mind you that should only be Alamo and the upcoming soon Bayou and thats it unless there is one I dont know about(very likely).
With only those 2 Indys to prep for many players are trying to find something else to fill that void that WFB left behind and that AoS clearly cant fill. So while its very possible to play 8th ed games, you will find a fair number of players wanting something that wont be going away.
As a tail end note, play WFB 8th all you want but bare in mind near 90% of your toys will work in Kings with lil to no problems. So you can easily play either system.
