    X-wing terrrain

Just saw this and thought it looked fairly cool. I don't play X-wing though, so can't really comment on how good it might be. Basically just bored and surfing KS today ...

It is cool, but at this past Millenium Con some of the local GHG guys constructed a Death Star surface from card stock. It even had an actual trench made, and came up with great rules to go with it.

The space station surface would be incredibly annoying to play on. You need a flat surface for accurate measurement and ships would lean and tip over most likely.

Also, that stuff is crazy expensive. You'd need 9 12"x12" tiles to make a standard 3'x3' board.

Sometimes you have to forego accuracy to forge the narrative.

Right, because ships tipping over on the table is very cinematic.

Chalk it up to random space storms, just one of the many dangers of space travel.
