If Imperials/chaos assault all ports or adjacent hexes and bubble wrap shield and port turn 1, basically we can end up in a situation where all planets are locked off by turn 2.

And the fix (for the shield problem) to allow adjacent hexes expanded the influence of ports ridiculously by essentially making all ports one for coming onto other spaces.

Easiest fix is just drop shields entirely and go back to original wording on ports.

Is that necessarily a bad thing? The shield gens can be assaulted from adjacent hexes and then the ports are open for attack again. I guess if we don't have that many turns to react like that then yea probably not a worthwhile goal to make them that hard.

If we drop the shields, I'd say change those spots into something else worthwhile, because that was our opening strat was trying to block those off. If they just become hive cities or something else, that would be fine I think.

I agree with the change to hive cities or something. I see your point, but it could be an issue and would rather decide it before we see how those challenges result as that skews opinions a lot.

    Challengers:

    13 DandyPandy Imperials 457
    14 Noah Xenos 425
    15 Red Army Imperials 365
    16 Real Genius Imperials 249
    17 Ball4eva Imperials 170
    18 EaglesMVP Xenos 61

One of ours will have to challenge Nick. We also need to challenge someone from Chaos, else we have two Xenos that haven't been challenged. Matt A was right earlier about this problem.

Yeah, I knew you had a point earlier but was waiting to see if it came up. It did.

I can challenge Nick for the power station on Geminus.... Actual game will have to take place sometime next week.
