the standard right now is 2000 points, though people will generally be willing to play other sizes, depending on what you have/want to play. Also, we are just starting an escalation league. if you're building a new army, or are new to the game (couldn't tell from your first post if you're a new player or new to austin) the escalation league would be a good place to start. The basic idea is we start with a 500 point list and play several special missions (DL has copies of missions and scoresheets) during the month. next month we add 250 more points and play some more missions. we keep going until everyone is playing at 2000 points. the only limiting factor is that all models used have to be painted, but "painted" doesn't mean painted well. just has to have 3 colors. The league is designed to get new people playing more, or help people build/paint an army that they haven't gotten around to yet.
