I'm gonna need at least 4 of these (but I'll probably end up getting enough for the full troops FOC). What do we think could work for them re temporary modelling, and what should I use dimensionally. I'm not gonna buy up a bunch of command barges to mod, because I know they're gonna make a model for it eventually. For local play I'm planning to cut some out of plasticard/cardboard/foam while I pray there are Q1 2012 models in time for tournaments.
Any Ideas?

That's not near as cool as a fleet of beer bottles.
Two beer bottles per, in a v formation, which makes me think I should put all my necrons on beer bottle cap bases...

I WAS SERIOUSLY JUST THINKING THAT! I'll help you with that, too! And if we can get our hands on a nice diamond filament hacksaw, we can cut the bottles in half, so you would have two forming the platform, and one on top in a triangle cut in half so you could put dudemans in em! Also, you should have all of your unit champs or characters carrying cocktail umbrellas or swords!
