Thread: Think Im doing cryx for lock and load: lists

Here is the 3 lists I came up with. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.

List 1 Hordes/Protectorate drop: some RFP, ashenveil makes the raiders annoying, loaded up kraken can get scything touched and ragman debuff + hexblast to remove buffs.

List 2 cygnar/ret/anybody I can cast spells on: Occulation gets DJ or the cav there. Can skew vs lists with no magic weapons like trollbloods. OP spells assassination.

Why aren't you running Ret?

As for your lists, I haven't really looked at Horseshade much. I know the Gaspy3 soul train is nasty once it gets rolling. The pDenny list is a solid choice. She always gets the job done, like a good woman should.

Rob couldn't go and I didn't feel like driving by myself. I might have if the hotel wouldn't let me cancel but they let me.

I will probably go back to morty when Inflictor comes out.

1. I am not a fan of 3Gaspy. I've never had much trouble fighting against him, especially compared to other Cryx options. I don't know about other Hordes armies, but as Skorne my anti-cryx drops have very few beasts for the feat to do much, but still have enough hitting power to deal with a Kraken when there's no other big targets. Ashen Veil is always nice vs Hordes, but with more non-living options (been seeing lots of witch doctor crocs and shamblers lately) it's becoming less back-breaking. He's not terrible, I just don't like him much.

2. the Goreshade list looks cool. still haven't gotten a chance to play against him, but he seems solid, and I like the list with him. lots of ghosts + cav seems like a strong way to play him.

3. Denny is always good, regardless of what models go with her. I think Rev Crew are decent, if nothing else they are something that has to be dealt with in a specific way that distracts from dealing with more vital things like Nyss.

I agree, I am not sure I would drop kraken vs skorne. I do like that list though. 30+ bodies, carnage+scything touch, and the kraken which is full focus every turn. His feat is not really that useful, I did get like 20 focus vs a trollblood player once though haha.
