    Pre Heresy Word Bearers Dreadnought

With the new chaos dex coming up fast, I've decided to finish my PH Word Bearers. Here is the first of my renewed efforts:

Also, photographing this guy was a pain in the ass. I really need a lightbox.

Give a man fire, and you keep him warm for a night.

Now I really wish I'd finished that terminator squad, because I don't remember which paint I used for them...

Terminator squad looks great, but methinks the dreadnought needs some scrolls and parchment on it.

Word Bearers are bitches for what they did to the Ultramarines and being the antagonist in that terrible Battle for the Abyss HH book...

**** the Ultramarines. Those guys are bitches. And to be fair, all the HH books are terrible. That has nothing to do with the Word Bearers.

I thought Battle for the Abyss kinda' sucked, but Know No Fear by Abnet is really good. I've never been a fan of Ultramarines, but after reading about Calth, I think that will be my next Heresy era army. The Mark of Calth.... really dirty Ultramarines with a lot of battle damage.

I think the Dread could use more details in red (maybe just the fngers?) - to bring them more in line with red details on the weapons of the termies. I'm not a particularily good painter - but I just think the dread neads more stuff to draw the eyes in on the details.

He has red guns, they're just hidden under his arms in this photo.

You want to read a good scifi book? The Forever War by Joe Haldemann.
