This thread is for the following problem/rule/conundrum.
The current rule for surviving killer spells as most folks know is you may take a ward save against spells that allow no save and all models that have access to a ward or mr may use this. Certain parties suggest this is too much and want something different in place. These parties have not exactly offered suggestions as to what. So for a while it was left as is.
With the just done Alamo a solution was seen to be had. Only characters with MR could use it the MR to survive, the units themselves were not. This seemed a semi fair way for game balance in my mind. It made the big bricks easier to hurt and only characters would have a save against the "or die" spells. But now a voice has spoken up and said that this would doom his regular unit that he uses.
So with these two camps being heard I will put this decision into the hands of the masses. This rule will be fully decided by you the players for the local region. I ask the following of those who vote or post on this thread.
1 No thread jacking of any sort please.
2 Only vote if you have played recently or feel that you fully understand whats going on here. I wish to avoid the just cause logic of the ill-informed.
3This vote will go on for 14 days giving plenty of time for voices to be heard.
Lastly understand that at the end of 14 days whatever poll has the most votes wins and will be written into our rules system as cannon. Also like any good political entity there will be a third choice. That choice will be create your own rule to deal with this "problem". If that vote wins those who voted for it will be held accountable for creating a working third option.
