If the wording were "cast successfully" then it would be consistent with precedent, hence why this phrase should have been used. Not that the meaning is fundamentally different between the two, just that the phrasing is already identifiably connected to specific game occurrences.
At this point, however, I would change my argument. Successfully should just be omitted in the sentence you were referencing. It is irrelevant to the only possible interpretation.
And by only possible interpretation, I mean that it seems any other interpretation of that sentence results in a logical fallacy given the second half of the sentence.
