I've read this several times, and I'm not sure if you are supporting Dandy Pandy's idea or my objection to it. If the former though, I would say that it's not just about switching out gear on units. HQs are an issue. If you want to bring a generic hq, sure you could bring a tooled down version maybe at the smaller points. But what if you are building towards a named character at higher points? Especially one who might not be super-survivable but has other benefits?

I am one of those people building towards a certain list at 1500/1850 point range, and those lists are built around Lias, but bringing him at 500-750 points would gimp my lists at those points. Keeping a random other HQ I don't want at higher points, gimps those builds. Also, it might be fun for some of us either trying out new armies or (like me) returning to the game after a LONG absence, to be able to play around with and try out different units that we might be unsure of at higher point builds.

Change your list as often as you want, as long as it is the same army.

It is too difficult to create some lists in 250 point increments and that shouldn't be a deterrent to playing in the league. Also, it would take a lot of policing that I'm not sure would be worth it.

So, just to recap and see if this is decided, first round at 500 points, play a game between March 5 - 18? Then round 2 at 750 starting March 19, and every other week from then on a 250 point force increase? "official" games days March 12, 26, . . . and paint days the weeks in between (feel free to paint/play as your schedule allows just get a game in at each level sometime in the two week period).

Special rule: preferred enemy - unpainted (are we defining this as 3 color min or fully done/based?)
Other scoring/special adaptations (like bonuses for posting batreps here, developing a narrative/theme for your army, etc.?)

Is that correct? Just wanted to make sure on the final details. Thanks

Also, suggesting to set up a shared spreadsheet online to report results.

Sounds good to me. I'd say no other scoring/special adaptions. We could do week-by-week bonuses (write a good batrep, get 50 extra points?).

I created this since no one else has done it yet.

Anyone can edit it, so don't be a dick. Sign up on the first sheet. Jim, I'll leave it up to you to pair folks up for the first games. Out of courtesy to everyone involved, we should be signed up as a participant no later than next Wednesday, the 11th, so there is time to coordinate games ahead of the first official game night on Mar 12.

Looks good. You can track revisions so it should be simple enough to fix if someone makes a mistake inputting data, though it is also a good habit to save a copy to your machine before making any edits.

What's the decision on how scoring will run, and what missions will be used? A modification that may be useful for the first round or two is to use 3 objectives instead of 6; if you want to use Maelstrom, then you can just modify like you would for a d3 roll on how objectives count. I like the idea of bonuses for batreps as it makes it a more connected event instead of a string of games.

Jim, it may be worthwhile to start a new thread for the league since I think most folks have tuned out of this one.

I can't seem to edit the file; it won't let me on my Iphone, and my work computer while a great comp runs an old version of IE and it also says that it's not supported and won't let me edit. Can someone add me? Todd Serpico. Thanks!
