Looking for a present for someone who loves Call of Duty and Black Ops type games. I figure some of you people play these so-called "video games" and can help an old-timer out.

I have yet to play the multiplayer for it yet but the single player mode on Battlefield : Bad Company 2 was pretty sweet. It's hard to compare to Modern warfare 2 and Black ops though honestly.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a fun multiplayer game and Borderlands is awesome and cheap too
Left For Dead, definitely.

If your 'client' can handle a zombie horror shooter, then yes, Left for Dead is awesome. LfD2 is also pretty awesome, but slightly less awesome than the first one.
Are you looking for a 'M'ature shooter, or a standard 'T'een shooter? All the classics (CoD, Modern Warfare) are T.
In the M category you will also find Bulletstorm: it's more fun and less realistic... it's over the top. Play is enhanced with beer.
Also, on June 14 will come the release of the most anticipated shooter of the decade--because it's literally taken ten years to produce it--Duke Nukem Forever. It's very very 'M'.
It's available for pre-order, and gives the confident impression that all is ready. http://www.dukenukemforever.com/full/us/
Most recently the release (under the new studio) was pushed back to June: http://content.usatoday.com/communit...back-to-june/1

Speaking of random games, I want a Crimson Skys remake! That game was awesome!
