Thanks for the tips guys. I've only ever played greenskins so I'm really used to just mobbing over people. Well...either that or watching my archers surge off of hills and my fanatics taking out my black orcs. I'm liking the versaitlity of VC but I think I'll wait for the beasts list at least. Daemons look like they would be tons of fun to model and paint and while I can see the merits of raking in easy victories with a wood elf shooty phase I just don't like elves. Maybe I've been rolling with gobbos for to long cuz they just stink funny.
Dark Helmet: What the hell are we looking at?
1st officer: This is now sir. Everything that is happening now is happening now.
Dark Helmet: Well what happened to then?
1st officer: We passed it sir.
Dark Helmet: When?
1st officer: Just now.
Dark Helmet: When, will then, be now?
1st officer: Soon.
if you do hold out, you could be waiting for a bit. The best information available seems to be that the next army book released will be Bretonia, and that will most likely come in Jan/February. There is no clue whether Skaven or Beasts would be next up, and either way you are likely talking April/May for whichever it is.
Demons are pretty solid and do offer plenty of modeling potential. Beasts/bretts/skaven could be out next month or in 2019. So don't hold your breath.

Jordan, there are a couple of sources out there that have been pretty much 100% on for over a year; it appears that there is going to be some kind of campaign including the return of Nagash next month, something Nurgle-y released before end of the year, and Brets are the next existing army book released, but probably not until next year. But as to the lists the OP is looking at, WoC, Demons, and VC are all solid top tier to upper-mid tier armies, all that allow great modeling and conversion ideas, but all that play pretty different.
