Thread: Austin Malifaux 2nd edition, aka Life Support

Malifaux is generally happening at Dragon's Lair Austin on Wednesdays. Feel free to drop by to watch a game or borrow a crew for a demo.

All you really need to play is a crew, the rules manual (or larger rulebook), M2E cards for your models, some tokens, and a card deck.

I played a game with Gwen a ways back and really enjoyed it. Even after I lost my last crew member, he still had to rush to obtain an objective to keep me from winning -- and even then, we tied.

Morella -- if you're interested in a game and available during the day, that works best for me, as my night schedules are pretty erratic. I'm still a bit hazy and/or slow on some of the game mechanics, so some patience will be needed, but I'm getting there.

I'm finally close to finishing painting my Colette crew (box + Angelica; also have unpainted Coryphee). I haven't really tried to figure her out too much with her beta rules yet -- would it be better off waiting until after the formal release? I've got the Marcus box set and a bunch of goblins as well, so could always try those, too (though they're not even primed ...). I think I played a Taelor crew with Gwen, so know the basics on her as well.

PS -- Morella, I've still got two of your books.

So where and when is Malifaux being played these days?

I'm gonna try to be around during the day tomorrow and painting. There's a chance I'll stay later, but not sure yet. My grasp of the rules is still very basic, so either small games or lots of patience would be required.
